Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® follows the principles of Functional Medicine, which seeks to achieve "root cause resolution." What does this mean? This means we want to know why you have symptoms, not just that you have them. How do we do this? We evaluate core body systems using functional lab work to identify hidden stressors. These hidden stressors are seen as "healing opportunities" that help point you in the direction of better health. By balancing your body, you help build a strong foundation upon which you can thrive.

Stop guessing and get the answers -- answers to questions such as:
"Why can't I seem to lose weight despite my best efforts?"
"Why do I feel so tired and sluggish all the time?"
"Why do I have these digestive problems and feel lousy every day?"
Nutrigenomics
Nutrigenomics is the study of how genes and nutrients interact. We begin by determining your unique Metabolic Type®, this will assist you in eating the proper macronutrient ratios to support your genetic, biochemical needs. Then we take the DNA results provided by a genetics report like 23andme to look closer at your single nucleotide polymorphisms, frequently called SNPs (pronounced “snips”) or gene expressions. We correlate specific symptoms you might be experiencing that often are a result of a compromised SNP and start to assist your genetic pathways using target nutrients for proper function.
We can also look at identifying genetic variations that predict responsiveness to many vitamins and other essential nutrients. Lifestyle choices and environmental factors will also be considered using this information. This information will give us clarity in suggesting a plan using supplements to assist in optimal health and wellness.
